I haven’t posted about any new favourite things for a while (you can catch up with the previous ones here and here) so I’ve been gathering up all the things that have made me smile for the last few weeks and here they are:
This lemon printed clutch. It’s not actually lemon printed, it’s more woven and yes, it is an extremely summery piece to only now be using. I picked it up in the Mango sale for a mere £4 at the end of summer and it’s far too cheery to pack away with the rest of my summer items. I spotted it on Hannah Gale’s blog and to be honest I wanted the cactus one but clearly so did everyone else. It also comes in flamingo print which is equally as sassy as the lemon or cactus.
The discovery of Mango t-shirts. If I’m honest this is another recommendation from Hannah Gale. Mango is not somewhere I normally shop, it always feels like the most ‘adult’ of shops (and in my mind I’m just not there yet), but upon the mention that the t-shirts are soft, and sassy and reasonably priced I was all over it. This particular number comes in both London and Paris prints too which I might have to pick up soon. If like me, you by t-shirts based on the search for ultimate softness then I highly recommend.
NYC is comin’ up fast! Also related to my new favourite t-shirt, have I mentioned that I’m going to New York soon? Joke, I know I have. It’s now only five weeks away and I’m on a count down. We’ve got our accommodation sorted, which is a pretty little Airbnb because LOL have you seen the price of hotels in NYC?! It’s no joke. Anyway I’m still collecting things to see and do so let me know your recommendations!
Kat Von D. Along with various other things that you can only get in the States I was planning to raid a Kat Von D stand somewhere, until Debenhams got there first. Now the only place in the UK to stock the brand I immediately picked up an Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and I fully understand what all the hype is about a matte lip. It lasts all day and doesn’t completely dry my lips out like all other matte products do. I picked up the colour Lolita II which is as close to a Kylie Jenner lip as I’m ever going to get.
And the finally my last point is the Shine Walk Half Marathon 2016. My mum and I took part in the Cancer Research Shine Walk a few weeks ago and it was such a great experience! After having done a few Race4Life walks in the past we decided to go bigger and better this year. We far succeeded our fundraising target and it was such a great atmosphere on the night. You can find out more about the walk here and maybe even sign yourself up for next year!
That’s about it for this post. Apart from a few things for work I’m on a mission to save for New York so perhaps my next New Things post will be full of people and experiences. Truly my favourite things! As always you can follow me on Instagram and Bloglovin and I’ll be back with a new post soon.
