A good few months ago myself and some friends went on a jaunt across the channel to Paris. I still find it crazy that in a day you can hop on the Eurostar, visit a different country, and then jump on the train back home. This particular trip was a 21st birthday present from my lovely mum, for myself and my two best friends. I’d been harping on about visiting the city so to presented with the Eurostar tickets was an absolute dream!

After an early start we certainly packed a lot into one day. Arriving in Paris and immediately hopping on the metro. As a former Londoner, I feel like the Parisian metro was easy enough, I just didn’t count on the doors closing so quickly. Getting trapped between those was not fun! All the classics had to be seen and after grabbing a fresh baguette we prepared ourselves for the climb up the Eiffel Tower. The may have been a large amount of stairs but the views were more than worth it. There was even a little bread festival going on outside the Notre Dame!

A day in Paris was the best birthday present I could have been given. The city is stunning and well worth a visit. Next time I hope to stay a few days, really experience the city.

xxx.

After pondering the idea of my own blog for a long, long time (I’m talking years here!) I have finally taken the plunge and clicked the create button. I have the vague idea that this will be my small corner of the internet to talk about all things travel and lifestyle based and anything that tickles my fancy.

I’m kicking off with a little introduction to my most recent city, Bath. Set in a valley in the west of England countryside, this beautiful historic Georgian town has been my home for the last three years and is always popular as a tourist destination. Although my time in this city has come  to an end now (but more on that later…) it will always hold a special place in my heart, it being the first place I moved to after the comfort of eighteen years at home. I feel these photos show some of the City’s finest points. They were taken on a gloriously sunny day when I decided to take a quick whirlwind tour by foot. I do love a town that’s fully explorable by foot!
